So was the gallery N8 or TC7 after Chris Eakin was having to ad-lib with graphics all over the show?

By the looks of it, the problems started sometime during Chris's OB so they used the N8 gallery to go to him and just left it with him to ad-lib whilst they moved to TC7, since nothing happened while the OB was going on.

It's holiday season, the regular slot presenter has been on OB for most of the day .... so they are desperate and turn to the doiley! Simple.

Edit - she has done a couple of overnights in the last 6 months or so to answer newsroom's question.

Well I suppose if they can continue broadcasting from TVC they may as well.

Last time they stayed in TC7 after Breakfast before handing to Millbank, presumably because Working Lunch needed to prepare or because of fears that TC7 might fall off air as well - the lighting was dodgy during Working Lunch as I recall.

It seems sensible for TC7 or N6 to be the initial place to use given that they're on the doorstep then make longer term plans which involve Millbank if appopriate once there is information on how long the outage will be etc.

Recorded bulletin on News24 at the moment. Is there more power problems at TVC or is this because of the earlier power problem?
