Do you think Sophie will end up on the 10 one day surely better than emily and tash

I dunno, hope so. I actually really like the way they're mixing and matching presenters. I used to prefer for them to stick to regular fixed presenting teams, but that was because of people being 'awkward' when not in their usual slot, but now it seems that they're so used to turning their hands to almost any slot they're more comfortable.

Just caught Matt Frei handing over from entertainment to business by using the oh so corny line, "From the business of entertainment to the ever so entertaining business news"!!!!

I think the bods just prefer seeing Jane's oh so perfect hair looking like a oversized dishcloth on OB's.

Frei doing an interview with Adam Brooke in Washington, "Very strange to have you there and me here, but we'll go with it...!"

Is this going to be regular thing then for the next couple of weeks?

To be fair to Matt Frei he seems to be doing rather well on the evening slot despite the fact I find him perennially annoying when he is a reporter, but then this is in comparison to the dull Ben Brown!

I know many find schedules ANALLY RETENTIVE but I've tried to justify what I think rather than just listing names, so PLEASE READ IT.

06.00- 0800 - BBC World News
IMO its pointless having a simulcast of Breakfast, so why not offer something a little bit different? World News. During breaks a sort of breakfiller could be played out which would bring together all the areas of domestic news, e.g. headlines, weather, sport and fluffier items.

08.00 - 12.00 - BBC News
Simon McCoy and Kate Silverton
As much as i loathe this woman, there is a certain connection that the two have that make the channel a joy to watch, I say - extend their hours!

12.00 - 13.00 - The Mid-Day Edition
Jon Sopel/Louise Minchin - alternating
A high-brow alternative to Lunchtime Live.
The studios in London connect with up to 5 regional centres where a summary of local news to provide cverage on the otherwise ignored stories.

There's more to come so I'm thinking i'll serialise it over the rest of the hols Laughing ! You never know, it could be like one of those running features in FHM or Nuts Rolling Eyes .

Matt seems to have a bit of a Richard Madely air to him...that of a slightly naff daytime anchor...cringe worthy, but oh so watchable.

Quite liking Clive Mirie presenting....needs a bit more practice but does show strong potential IMO ---oft, that sounds like a school report Laughing

Oh what a contrast the Six News Hour has become to the Ten News Hour. The latter is excruciatingly painful with Chris Eakin explaining ad nauseum whats coming up and being soooo nerdy about everything, while the former is just a joy to watch.

Joanna, as lots of people are noticing, is growing into the roll amazingly, and it's just great to see the laid back and natural way things flow between entertainment and business, then a bit of news, then sportsday. On the Ten NH it's all so stilted.

Question, why doesn't BBC News 24 use there breaking news sting music when there is breaking news?
I think it adds to the story and the feel.. but i haven't heard it in ages.
