Summer is certainly here.... Clive Myrie on News 24 today. What is it with the BBC and Summer that foreign correspondents end up presenting... Michael Peschardt will be back soon no doubt.

He's a crap presenter, well he is on BBC World when in Washington.

Actually he was a lot more authorative and charismatic than a fair few regular presenters. If Ben Brown is considered good enough to present the 6...

Just seen a cool bit of direction. They used noisy tractor cam to see an overhead view of the desk where they switch from Jon talking to a reporter at the Russian Embassy on his screen over to Louise talking to a reporter in Moscow on her screen.

They've done that quite a few times in the past and it does look very, very effective and should be used as often as possible!!

You say the tractor cam was noisy though - in my experience when used as you describe it's not noisy.

Well OK It wasn't noisy at the time I just used that description as the camera is known to grind a bit on the TOTH.

They tried to show live streaming of News 24 on the web and got an error message. LOL
