I don't know if it's been mentioned elsewhere, but I read in the papers a few days ago that Simon McCoy is soon to be married to Victoria Graham, spotlight's weather forecast- sorry if i'm repeating old news.

She is not a weather forecaster (althought she did temporarily fill in for Craig Rich/David Braine several years ago when working at BBC Weather) but rather the main presenter of Spotlight, having replaced Teresa Driscoll last year. She started out on Breakfast and lunchtime bulletins and also did a stint at Points West.

I've noticed that they now regularly only have one presenter on N24 from 4.30 til 5. Why is this?

Victoria Graham was a regular BBC News 24 weather presenter back in the flags era.

Isn't it mainly due to that presenter going on to present the 5 News hour? I've seen that happen once or twice with Emily, and Julian disapear...

Well Emily was doing the Five tonight. Was she also on 2-4.30?

And, IIRC, she remained at News 24 until at least 2000, maybe 2001.

A most unusual feature on N24 just a couple of moments ago. In a discussion between Louise Minchin, Tim Willcox and Nick Higham at the newsdesk, the regular mid-level camera angles were interspersed with wide views from the overhead tractorcam - but with a giant Prince CD digitally overlaid upon the desk and extending over its forward edge.

The graphic changed with discussion-relevant imagery, such as a HMV logo or SonyBMG logo when those were mentioned during the conversation.

Nice to see them trying something different.

And this morning they used the right side mini-studio. I hadn't seen that in a while.

And a couple of caps of the right-hand pod...

But that is that pod you're referring to - the small one without the projector screen.
