I am well aware Moz of his Sri Lankan origins, just surprised how small he looked on tv, given that he seems 'bigger' in real life (I write this from Westminster today). Then again i am only 5' 10".

Apologies if I appeared trollish.

Was I hearing things or did News 24 use the old headline bed at the top of the hour, also used on World.

Not sure if its has been mentioned (checked back a few pages) but has anyone noticed that there is a swipe of light across the breaking news strap now (on the background)

noticed it yesterday on the 'Beckett Leaving' strap

It's not always been there. Was introduced a few weeks ago at the same time as the red breaking news ticker appeared.

Talking of the red breaking news ticker - they're still having problems with it. It was on during the Six, but at the BOTH the white ticker appeared with white text, and then promptly disappeared. 15 minutes later it's still not playing ball so they've gone with the full strap during Sportsday.

News 24 has cut from Breakfast a bit earlier than normal this morning, due to the breaking news from London.

How long has Dateline London been coming from the 2nd World set?

I wondered that too, they appear to fit more comfortably around the desk than in News 24, and the shape I think suits it more. Everyone can see everyone else far more easily then the News 24 desk.

Perhaps because the News 24 studio is so busy this weekend? But yeah agreed - it looked better coming from the World 2nd set.
