Does anyone know why theres no ticker on the online player?

because its 15 seconds off so they can not put a clock there i suspect its the same with the ticker it would be to delayed

That's true but I think it's more to do with the fact that it'd get (and did when it was there) distorted.

It probably saves quite a bit of bandwidth by not having it too. Moving images take up more space.

That was weird. They just had a name strap, and it went like this...

NAME OF PERSON (animated wipe from left to right)
Where they were from (animated wipe right to left)

Never seen this before, usually both wipe from left to right. The 'where they were from' was quite a long bit of text, perhaps that explained it?

It just did it again. Must be permanent, or I've never noticed before. Someone tell me I'm not going mad!!?

The names straps have just been doing it on BBC World.. obviously not the best example cos it was a short peice of text..

I like the change, but can't see why the red & black subject straps don't do it as well. Where's the consistancy?
