I dont get it- what i Emily Matlis actually used for, at the moment she just seems like a fill in anchor and they cant think of anything to do with her?

Emily one of a number of senior presenters which can be called upon in a variety of roles.

Don't forget, she's also a Newsnight hand but I think I'm right in saying she's now officially left her slot with Ben in the evenings.

Perhaps that was a personal decision due to her new baby?

We are currently seeing maintenance work in the N24 studio on the internet stream, the simulcast is tonight coming from World's studio with Karin.

Interesting to see that the online feed somehow still takes the output of one of N24's cameras - so we can see people walkin about infront of the desk and a engineering briefcase of sorts sat with a can of sprite on the desk!

Ten or so minutes later and everyone's gone home at N24 jus before 4am.

AFAIK Emily left on maternity leave, losing her slot with Ben to Joanna Gosling, which now means that Emily is only a relief presenter on N24 and on Newsnight.

What in God's name are you on about?

In your short posting life here all you've managed to do is ask irrelevant questions and random crap that makes absolutely no sense at all. I can only assume that you are under 13/a moron, or possibly a combination of both. Now go and put some pants on instead of sitting ogling a forum and wondering what splurge will come out of your backside onto the computer next, and come back when you've got half a brain.

Oh, and we all know how reliable Wikipedia is, don't we! I heard that Huw Edwards used to be a woman, you know. Since Wikipedia said it, it must be right!

I note that my main bugbear ... business reporting ... has been criticised in a report commissioned bt the Governors last autumn, that was released by the BBC Trust today.

Full report ...

BBC Trust

I'm glad that one of my main concerns that the coverage leans far too much on consumer issues and from the consumer standpoint is covered widely, and hope to see a distinct improvement soon once the Corporation's Executive have studied it.

Quote:
The Trust shares the panel's concern about the BBC's predominant focus on the consumer perspective in business reporting if it results in the audience not receiving the full story. Audiences are also investors, savers, business owners and employees with a personal and civic interest in understanding the impact of business from a range of perspectives. The Trust is clear that impartiality means providing a complete picture and full breadth of opinion and the BBC has a responsibility to deliver this.
