A big mess up into News 24 Sunday on BBC One just now. We had the full end titles for Breakfast (the end shot had finished animating), then a promo for BBC Two Comedy then we had a promo for How To Rule The Country (?). During this promo however we could hear the music of the BBC One Ident Skateboarders for about 15 seconds before returning to the sound for the rest of the promo. After this we cut straight to N24 Sunday (running a little later than the top of the hour) where we heard the opening drum beat of the titles before cutting onto BBC World. Then after about a minute or so of BBC World N24 Sunday came back. Now the N24 tower has appeared on BBC One as well.
I wonder how all of this was caused?
Did the same happen on News 24?

Problems in Pres - they picked up the wrong output at 0900, realised their mistake, cut to N24 output - but picked the wrong line out of the N24 gallery so had the version with the tower.

I was a nice surprise to see Kate Silverton on this morning. Replace Phil Hayton with Simon McCoy and News 24 would seem more appealing in the mornings. Kate is an excellent newsreader whereas Hayton is just becoming duller and boring.

Maxine Mawhinney FINALLY back on News 24 this afternoon. Where has she been? She's been gone for ages. Hopefully she'll be back for a while and won't do another disappearing act. She could do with tidying up that hair - its a mess!

Can anyone confirm if Noel Thomson (BBC Newsline) was on N24 on Sunday morning before the simulcast with BBC1?

Noel Thompson did Breakfast both Saturday and Sunday I think. A return to the good old days when he used to make regular appearances on the programme!

It was just Sunday; Chris Eakin was presenting on Saturday.

Looks like Joanna Gosling is doing her slot with Phil again at 9-1.

From what I've seen, it looks like they have Kate Silverton Monday to Wednesday and Joanna Thursday to Friday.

If I remember correctly, Carrie Gracie did Thursday and Friday last week, whereas Joanna filled in for her on Saturday morning. Perhaps she is just covering for her while she is on holiday or something??

Joanna may also be filling in for Kate if she (Kate) is going on Breakfast at the weekend? Highly likely as Sian is off on hols and surely, surely Susanna must have gone on maternity now?

I would expect Carrie Gracie to be on tomorrow and Sat unless Joanna does all of Carrie's shifts and they drag Gwenan Edwards back out to do Joanna's normal shifts over the weekend.

Susanna's not due to give birth for another eight weeks. This was revealed on Breakfast last friday during an interview. I expect that we will see susanna for atleast another four or five weeks before she goes on maternity.

If the BBC decided not to simulcast Breakfast on News 24 and to let News 24 have its own independent morning show to rival Sky News' Sunrise programme, what would be a suitable name for the programme?
MA
Matrix
..."Get Up 24"...

Seriously IF News 24 were going to cut away from Breakfast surly simulcasting The World Today from BBC World would a suitable alternative.
