As I was walking through Liverpool city centre today, I noticed the BBC's big screen was showing BBC News 24. I've never seen it being shown on there (usually it is BBC1), but it looked great nevertheless.

I've seen it being shown once or twice on that screen. I wonder how many people can claim to have seen the countdown on a screen that big Wink

If anyone ever thought they were being clever by telling me they saw the News 24 countdown on big screen I'd be highly surprised.

Alastair Yates is on early this evening. He does not normally start presenting to 01:00 Monday to Friday. Its only at weekends when they start at 00:00. That means tonight we have a full hour of Alastair.

I think he started at 2300 in fact; he was certainly on from 2300 last night.

Yes I like Alistair Yates presentation style, calm yet authoritative.

I noticed BBC News 24 have attempted to reduce the word spacing on the astons of their updated TOG system, looks a lot better now IMHO.

Not sure if anyone noticed, but the clock font changed again to the previous one last night (used since re-launch).

Am I the only person to think the use of the lead story in the opening titles a mistake?

Getting silly sentences like "Rice in Middle East" spinning round the globe is frankly daft!

Sorry if this has been mentioned before - I'm too tired to search the previous pages Wink

Anyway, is it just me or is the globe in the tower spining noticable faster than before? It's revolving roughly about once every 45 seconds as the time of writing.

Lol... yeah, sometimes it's quite weird, yet I like it...

The globe in the BBC News 24 Dog clock slowly spins! Have you ever noticed it? You might have to go right close up to the TV.
