This will surely mean an interesting change in presenter schedules for Sunday.

Currently
09.00 - 13.00 Tim Willcox
13.00 - 17.00 Phil Hayton
17.00 - 19.00 Peter Sissons

Any clues as to the new schedule?

A couple of observations...

Looks like TOG may have broken down this morning as Weekend 24 just had the static BBC NEWS tower with web address rather than clock around 7am when I was watching. It actually made me realise how much I depend on the on-screen clock at breakfast time, as I nearly ended up running late today not realising what time it was.

Also, what's happened to the rather nice location straps using the map above the tower? They introduced them a few weeks ago, but now no sign, and it's just back to the old location format.

I think it makes the mini-studio look way bigger- perhaps a permanent feature in the future?

Agreed. It could also be used for Breakfast so it could move full-time to the N24 studio. They could use the main desk for serious news, and this 'softer' area for fluffy items, for the sport, for big in-studio interviews etc. And Moira could present the TOTH summary from there (Dermot & Natasha at the desk for 'serious news') and the BOTH summary from the desk, whilt D & N are in the 'soft area'. Or do you all think Breakfast is better where it is? Shocked

Where abouts is this?

It's in the News 24 studio, in the stand up area they use for the TOTH headlines. They've just added a desk and seats.

No! Either on the small seats behind the small desk, or at the main desk (where she belongs).

....ah, yes. That's more like it. At the main desk.......where she BELONGS.

I read somewhere that our Adrian Finighan from World has been on your screens this week presenting during News 24. What bulletin does he present on N24? Alone or co-presenting?

I have just realised that I haven't seen Adrian doing a double header for years! He always seems to be alone (not surprising since World is all solo these days, except TWT).

It's not the standing pod, its the other side where the rear projection screen is - the usual area for the sport, except they're sat down.

This area of the set has three different sets of seats - a red sofa set, the chairs and mini desk above, and long tall stools as options. The stools come out reguarly, mostly evenings for multi-guest discussions. The red sofas come out from time to time when breakfast is in there (eg Good Friday) and the new chairs are used for Sportsday on a Saturday.

Instead of Weekend 24 and News 24 Sunday, why don't they have international news or even a special The World Today? It'd make more sense than continuing news straight after Breakfast under a different name, all of which has just been covered.

News 24 Sunday hasn't even been broadcast yet, and you're moaning - wait to see what it'll be like, I don't imagine it will be like Weekend 24 at all, much more Frost-like, but we shall wait and see.

It will probably more of an analysis programme, but with discussions presumably.
