I always thought the flying fishfingers music was brill actually, and way ahead of its time in the mid eighties.

Anyone got that digitally, by any chance?

News 24 has just jumped into recorded output from the previous hour.

Took a min of two to work out what was going opn...was live at the Live 8 announcement and suddenly cut to recorded output!

The graphics are still on screen as they were

BBC News has now switched to BBC World

1500 - NEWS 24 joins WORLD with Mishal Husain

The Tower and ticker obscured the weather and countdown at 1500.

Yes N24 are now taking BBC World.

Crisis over!

All back to normal!

Matthew and Maxine now back with N24.

Large sections of the front of TV Centre were temporarily "invacuated" - i.e. people moved to safe internal shelter areas - and White City tube closed, as a result of a suspect car parked in Wood Lane I believe.

BBC World is in a slightly safer part of the building (no exposed windows) further back from Wood Lane, so could continue broadcasting.

Although why they invacuated people from the second floor of Stage Six, but left everyone on the first floor where they were, remains a mystery!
