I've found some which go back as far as December 2003, but occasionally, half hour segments are left out. Most of the videos which are not able to be accessed are annoyingly at interesting times (such as during the US Election and the death of the Pope).

these HQ videos of news 24 - are they also available live, how far does the archive go back / is it permanent and who make them?
I'd investigate myself but I can't be bothered.

Did anyone watch Sportsday yesterday? It now has a new look, proper opening titles and is double-headed. Yesterday it was presented by Sue Thearle and Adnan Nawaz. It comes from the stand-up area where they put in a small round News24-style desk behind which the two presenters sit. Was quite good IMO.

Yes I think later on that day, they talk about the Post Office's losses, which since has been reversed.

I noticed that as well yesterday. However, Sportsday this evening didnt have the desk out, so perhaps it might have been a taster of what is to come!

Looked rather nice, perhaps it could be used for interviews and debates on N24 or for part of weekend Breakfast?

For anyone who is interested, there is a BBC News Special on News 24 from 20:55 to 01:00 on Sunday covering the French EU Referendum results. For the rest of this week, Jon Sopel and Philippa Thomas will be reporting from France. I would imagine that Jon, being N24's chief presenter and a former Paris correspondent, will be presenting the live results programme.

Where are Jon's origins? I have never heard the name Sopel before. Sounds kinda Romany.........
