Looks like the new style graphics (clock, ticker etc) are back:

On the faster spinning globe in the titles - not to keen on it personally - preferred it how it was, but then I never liked the titles when they first launched so there probably grow on me.

There seem to be issues on the new graphics set with resizing text to fit on the large-title aston. On the previous set, the large-size text automatically resized itself to fit between the Tower and the right safe area edge. I've seen a couple of headlines today where there's been no resizing, and the title has spilt over to the left behind the Tower.
The most recent example was "IRAQ PLANE CRASH", where the "I" ended up behind the Tower. Once the gallery eventually realised that the title bar had read "RAQ PLANE CRASH" for about three minutes, it was finally changed to "IRAQ CRASH".

No, no that globe is spinning far too fast - it doesn't fit the title theme at all. Unless the music is sped up it is just wrong wrong wrong!!

I really don't understand why many of you have an issue with this. I suggest you all cast your minds back to the 1993-1999 titles!!

It's just what you're used to that matters.
I think the new globe spinning (a very minor point if we're being honest) looks fine and brings a little extra interest to the opening titles.
The real plus point of the update is the smoothness of the graphics which have improved dramatically (from the live rendered headline round the globe to the main astons and ticker text).
Really like the grey/black ticker title box....hopefully this will allow red/orange to be used for breaking news on the ticker. I was sceptical about ALL CAPS on the ticker when I read about it here, and to be honest I think the text size could be reduced a little- it looks fine when the ticker is on alone, but with an additional small-caps aston in play it can look a little confusing.
As well as the resizing issue mentioned by BBC LDN, they're also having problems updating the information on the astons.....they seem to have take down the aston and reload it each time they add another line of info (e.g. quotes from bush or blair).
Overall, I think it's a positive update in terms of smoothness and design....just a few bugs to sort out quickly.

Quite. However, as is the case on so many occasions on TV Forum, some people need to be careful about how they put their view across. Sadly, at times, it verges on irrational.

It will be interesting to see if the new and improved TOG is used for BBC World joint bulletins tonight, me thinks that they won't otherwise BBC World will have to see the crazy globe in action too.
BTW as regards to the globe issue, this will further add to the inconsistancy as the pre-rendered titles will have the usual globe spinning at it's usual rate while the ones with TOG will have the globe animated at a much faster rate.
