Are Sky really that influencial?

Technically, it's excellent Bail but I just hope it is that, a *mock*.

Ditto that. I would despair if that were the new look. No one could get away with that level of unoriginality surely?

Can I ask what the official reasons for taking TOG off were?

Is it the simply the fact it wasn't good enough to do the things BBC News want to with the graphics?

It will be nice to see the new graphics (if they do appear tomorrow).

One question about the TOG - was it all automated, with the information input and left to do its own course? I'm sure it is as was seen this morning on Breakfast where a report had to be ended because of sound problems but the astons still kept appearing.

The package astons have always been automated, since the channels launch. If the director has to come out of a report early, they have to cancel the remaining astons.

All Live stuff is done manually though

so, it looks like we are to expect a graphics change tomorrow at 05.00. Any changes to that schedule? Confused

Thanks

why 5:00 though, it sounds a funny time really. Why not 8:30 or 9:00?

As I'm not much of a nocturnal viewer, can someone confirm the following...

World simulcasts with N24 from 1am to 5am from N8
News 24 simulcasts TWT with World from from 5am to 6am from N9 (is that the name of World's studio?)

If this is the case, I presume engineers will be in N9(?) from 1am to 5am installing World's new graphics kit/software and then in N8 from 5am to 8.30am installing News 24's.

I think 5am is a great time, when The World Today is on, simualcast on both News 24 and World. 8.30 would be horrible, they wouldn't have a TOTH.

5.00 is good that also more people will see it, ie workers.

Will these new graphics involve any changes to the way reports are presented, the way the studio is used, and introduce new features like UGC...
