Hi everyone, I've been off school for the past week with laryngitis which has given me a chance to look at some of the news channels out there, and for the first time ever I actually sat down and watched bbc news 24 instead of sky news...all week, and I have to say I am really impressed.
I always used to hate the bbc network bulletins and so when we got freeview i never gave n24 a second look, but now with sky news and this big coming up sequence and stuff I decided to give it a try and wow... I'll defintely sticking around.
Can anybody help me out with the schedule though, I'm kind of stuck with who is on when...
08:30- Simon McCoy and Kate Silverton
11:00- Matthew Amroliwala and ?
14:00- Jon Sopel? and Louise Minchin
17:00- Huw Edwards
19:00- ? and Ben Brown
I was particularly impressed with Huw's show as i hadn't really rated him, and I think he really does it very well. All those guests and reporters I have to say is very impressive.
And I quite like the studio, I've never really seen it before from all the different angles but i think it has a kind of understated classy-ness to it.
Really blown away too with their coverage of the Pope's visit with Simon McCoy and David Willey (Rome correspondent?) really doing very well. I can't think that sky would give it much coverage what with them sending Jeremy Thompson out to the Ashes
and i have to say its really nice to just have breaking news flash up on the screen for three minute rather than 3hrs.
