This is pure speculation damo, but who knows. National style grapics (a lil bit different) it pop up behind the tog and ticker yesterday, but who knows, this could be a simple error.

Your News has an article on the Guardian Unlimited Media site. It's a good idea - a news programme based completely on viewer generated content. Apparently the BBC receives up to 10,000 emails a day containing news ideas, photos, videos etc.

Crikey, bit of tension in Dateline London! Everyones yelling at each other anda Gavin can't stop them! even the people in the newsroom seemed worried!

As for the straps... they are no higher or lower than previously.

I think maybe the new graphics will launch on Monday 4th December, this is in the same month News 24 relaunched with the new set and graphics. Just a random guess but you never know!

The kit that generates the Graphics may well change soon - but I think you may have to wait till maybe next year before the look changes. Wink

I think the best bet on the new look is possibly when Nick Owen and the other 'new faces' join the channel. I think this is when Emily Maitlis is due back too. Just a guess though.

It's bizarre logic like this that makes me wonder why I bother reading this site sometimes.

And as a point of fact, News 24 never meant to relaunch in December, this was merely the result of dodgy power supplies which delayed the relaunch.

January 2007 is not the confirmed relaunch but I have it on good authority from two sources this is the planned date. It's also a definite graphics and music package update. I have no news on any studio changes but it is also known that world will adopt changes around if not on the same date as those implimented in the news year with News 24.

So we'll tuck into a christmas that will wizz by and before we know it News 24 will be on air looking differently. By the way - music wise think Wales Today / News 24 Sunday / 2006 Countdown / News 24 2006 Promos.

Has anyone heard if this next refresh will coincide with the drop of '24' in the Channel Title that was considered earlier this year?
