No it wont be like that., The show is played out, and obviously the director or someone on the N24 team were testing the graphics over the programme.

It was on the 11.30am Sat edition.

Did they animate or was it a simple fade?

Are you sure it wasn't just for the 12 o'clock news summary, which uses the national graphics, from the News 24 newsroom. I know Maxine presented the summary and that used all national graphics.

They went off instantly, no transition, and maybe it was from the 12pm. But the font was lighter in weight, I think, and all in capitals.

Would World be receiving the change?

In an interview the controller on News 24 talked off a 'whole sale re-evaluation' of the branding and presumably, if it is a major change, World would adapt to it.

So does this meen, if the "re-brand" or whatever does happen, that we will have titles like this...

It will be good when the BBC finally re-brands the whole of their news output, including regions, as it is all a bit "bitty" at the moment.

Id like to think so! Cant you see the titles turning purple, and swirling out to the overhead tracking camera shot..... with perhaps a remix theme? I guess thats what will happen.

I'd rather the black be white though, I don't really like the black and never have.

It's been good to see the latest 'This Is What We Do' trail being aired on News 24 recently, along with the new trail illustrating news correspondents based in their various locations around the world.

Also I noticed that the inserted astons on 'Dateline London' this morning have been adjusted to be slightly higher up than usual, presumably to be safe for the new graphics package when it goes live (Monday 08.30?)

I also noticed that at 00.30 last night, during Karin's shift, STORYFix was aired after the headlines summary, followed by the new programme 'Your News' with Richard Bilton. The programme itself is a good concept, but style takes some getting used to, and the programme will doubtless receive some tweaks and get better in time.
