This is just tedious. Can't we find some proper news? The bloke's been poisoned, probably by a KGB bloke - 'nuff said, Blair and Putin are still mates, can we have something new now please?

Can't believe you can even say that!

Well i could only watch via the live streaming on my PC at work. I was very impressed with N24 today. Very informative considering i had no sound! I was pleasantly surprised to see Sophie take to our screens in a rolling news fashion.

Do you not think it's important that the Russian Government are apparently poisoning and killing their opponents? It's a huge story.

Don't feed James Hall. He's wide enough already.

Any news on the new look btw? I want to see the damage to the plasma in reception once they change the graphics completely. It's funny enough during the weather.

Oh come now, that's hardly news is it. Stop being so naive.

Even if you didn't mean it those are my sentiments. Maybe I'm just having a male period at the moment but every story has been "his condition has slightly worsened", "his condition is a bit better", "his condition is poor". And finally, "he's dead". It's just felt like overkill to me - but it has been quite a slow news week.

Yes, they're pulling out all the stops. A BBC One presenter anchoring from the studio, Sophie (with Julian W), and News 24 presenters out in the field reporting back, Jon Sopel at the news conference and Matthew Amroliwallah at the hospital. This is how N24 should be for major stories.

We were getting News 24 yesterday too, every other hour. It was indeed good news presentation. Raworth was indeed very good, I have to say.

Only comment - News 24 made no attempt to disguise the fact it was News 24, as it normally would do in simulcasts, wherein in becomes generic BBC News, and the anchors make no reference to either 24 or World.

A few BBC World viewers would have been slightly puzzled by the sudden "new look and name" for the channel.

Haven't seen him so much, but the fellow who was on with Sophie Raworth (Julian Worricker) was also extremely good. Is he new to N24?

Jullian is from Five Live, still works there as well as being a regular fill in on News 24. He's been doing that for about the last 3yrs or so I think. Also did a bit of Breakfast this summer.

Wasn't too great on Breakfast, but I do like him on N24 - and, yes Sophie was very competant yesterday afternoon - she seems to suit rolling news more than set piece news.

News 24 only streams online during big breaking stories, and you can only watch the feed if you're in the UK anyway.

Just had a trail on News 24 advertising that they have permanent bureaux in a number of countries that no other news organisations have.

At the end they just used a linear |B|B|C| NEWS 24 logo, white logo on black screen.
