It's quite funny, when i heard she had become a news presenter i wondered how long it would be before she turned up at the door in London asking for a job. Well i think she is doing alright. She seems confident which is good.
Slight technical problem today at 2:40pm ish. Firing line was on and seemed to get stuck for a few minutes. Obviously there was no presenter in the studio to cut back to and i dont know if anyone was even in the gallerie as it just seemed like it had paused and then someone finally realised and hit play. Well the end result was at 3pm it went straight from the weather into the TOTH sequence. Also noted that the old News 24 DOG was used for this program.

This was probably because the graphics on the programme weren't "Tower safe". The News 24 DOG is used over ABC World News Tonight every weeknight for the same reason.
Some good camera work tonight. Just seen a zoom out from an image on the main screen, zooming right out to show Sissons asking the question to the studio guest.
Cheers. Any idea what 'next few months' means? How few - two, four, six?
I would imagine that they
might
have the relaunch in December to coincide with the 3rd anniversary of the current look. Perhaps thats a bit too soon though...
How long has Sir Matthew Pinsent been doing the sport on News 24?
Quite a few months now. He decided to join BBC Sport as a broadcast journalist and learn his trade, rather than be parachuted in as a "star presenter". He has done reporting shifts and some live OBs as well as presenting sports bulletins on the channel.
