It's just the same but with 'BBC News 24' replacing 'BBC World' on the tower.
I find it hard to believe News 24 don't have access to a clean feed of World. You can see the World tower animating on and off behind 24's and you can very occasionally see News 24's animating off, World's animating off AND a simple BBC News tower behind it all.
I may have this completely wrong, but here goes. Before the 2003 relaunch, the BBC World channel logo was added by BBC World Presentation (i.e. the output suite which looked after the overall output of the channel). At that point in time, News 24 was able to get a clean feed of BBC World from the news gallery in N9 with just the relevant news graphics. Now, from the 2003 relaunch onwards, the news gallery in N9 adds the tower which means it is burnt onto the output of that gallery, hence why N24 can't get a clean feed. If you ever see BBC World, you'll notice that during pre-recorded programmes there is yet another logo - just the text from the tower (i.e. without the red background) in the same position. I don't know exactly who adds this now as BBC World Pres is no more (is it BBC Broadcast?) but I know it isn't the news gallery.
BBC News 24, on the other hand, is completely different. They have one gallery which controls everything.
As I said, that's only my reasoning. It's been a couple of years since I visited BBC World's studios so things may well have changed since then.
