Yup just noticed this too. Almost a bluey colour with News 24 Tonight.

Its quite noticable in that video, compared to the creamy colour we have had for the previous few months.

Compare these with a capture from a month or so ago...

The differance is VERY noticeable, I just was N24 on a plasma in my building it looks so much better, not sure if they "white balanced" the cameras or did lighting changes but all the shots look better...

I don't know if it's just me, but I happen to find the darker version to look nicer and less garrish. The super brightennes of the white just didn't appeal to me.

The YouTube link posted above led me into almost hours of (sadly) trawling through news related stuff on that site, including the edition of N24 with Joanna Gosling and Julian Worricker, where Joanna forgot his name entirely..........hilarious stuff.

Like the new sharpness of N24, above. It is like having had ones' contact lenses cleaned thoroughly!!

Who is the sports presenter again?

One thing I have noticed is that the "phasing" is still there, less noticeable but it's still doing it, I was editing a clip to post here and you can notice it alot when fast-fowarding...

Is it me, or is the newsroom view getting boring and monotonous?

I'd much rather prefer something like this:

*Thanks to bail for taking those great caps!

Oh no.

If anything, the newsroom adds pace and energy to the shots used. It's also nice to see 'activity' in the engine room, as Mr Sopel once said.

I would rather the newsroom was used more. During the election the interview segments were fantastic. It would be nice to see the return of this, particularly given the lack-lusted use of the first pod area now.

True, but the backdrop would be live like in NY.

But, to be fair, in the absense of any major flight paths what are you likely to see? a gull?

Great caps, Bail. Thanks for posting. They really show the difference between the old and new lighting. Today's changes are a vast improvement. Everything looks cleaner and sharper.
