Who the hell's the squeeky child on News 24 at the moment?

Jenny Scott - who I was referring to above in somewhat insulting terms - is actually very good I've found! Been watching her tonight during this breaking news on the US airport alert and she copes excellently. Asks good questions of interviewees and speaks well (apart from the squeek!), though she could interact a little more with her co-presenter. One for the future though I think.

totally disagree Moz, not my cup of tea at all - trying to like her approach but doesn't come across as confident enough for me , particularly when she anchors on her own.

Surely someone at News 24 have to realise what amistake to swap Chris Eakin for Ben Brown

Yes, in my opinion was ludicrous to swap Ben for Chris. I'm not keen on the current structure of the presenter schedule, theres four slots that last a mere 3/4 hours...It should be something like:

Weekdays
8-1: Simon & Kate
1.30-5: Jon & Louise
7-10: Chris & Jane (who would also present 10.30-12 after the Ten, leaving way for a straight 12-6 for overnight). It is so pointless having 10.30-1am!

Weekends
9-1: Julian & Karin
1-5: Tim & Rachel
5-12: Tony & Emily

Overnight: Keep Ben firmly there!

Tony Campion seems to have done an awfully long shift today. He was on this morning and is still there now at 6pm. He must be completely shattered after a shift like that.

He's done the usual 1-5, and now the 5-7 slot - I know Tim was on News 24 at 10.30 when I switched on, as usual, but then he went on to do the National bulletin - what time did Tony take over on News 24?

Yeah, God, what a man eh? He must be shattered, all that sitting down, makes my 10 hour shifts on my feet seem like nothing! I think I'll ask for a reduction in my pay.

It's only like the BBC World weekend rota: 0600-1200, 1200-1900, 1900-0100.

I noticed at around 5.30 on News 24 that there was a 'World Cup on the BBC' ad. Strange Confused .
