BBC News 24

They change the tower to 'BBC News' for Breakfast because it is visible to viewers on BBC1, who are, as far as they are concerned, watching Breakfast, and not BBC News 24. Every week it's the guessing game as to how long it takes them in the gallery to remember to change it back - today was a bit of an extreme, as it was well into the afternoon before they noticed it!

They always fade down the countdown for any sort of simulcast at the TOTH to give a clean, clear opt for all concerned.

Have just sat and watched a news report on BBC News 24 that was presented by Emma Heard from Sky News.

Has she moved camps of was it a pool report?

The latter.

On the Daily show they mentioned BBC News "23", and had a mockup of those graphics, but with a fake mockup of the ITV Studio.

Was that Claire Marshall on the 11am-1pm shift today?

Yes it was. She's done a few shifts recently including 8.30-11 yesterday. Quite a good presenter IMO.

She's been busy as I saw her on Breakfast on Monday reporting from Bath.

I know it's silly summer season, but News24 really are suffering. Today, no Jane, Matthew, Jon or Louise!! Having said that, some of the stand-ins are great - Tim, Tony C, Julian to name three...some rising News 24 stars?

News 24 Sunday was back this morning for the first of several over the summer, with Peter Sissons. It is quite a nice concept, and makes good use of the studio space in N8. Of course, the programme means once again a slight re-jig of the presenter shifts through the summer.

It was on last week as well.
