Although I agree with both your semtiments, I must point out that reply *WAS* specifcally directed at that BBC N24 2005

Fair play....cant argue with that!

It had driven me made how these threads have turned into a commentary as to who is presenting and when. If I want to know I would watch it! As it is I watch it for the news, not the fabulous paring of two female presenters! Nor do I care that the last female paring happened on a Sunday afternoon last year.... who want to know this! Confused

I'm just waiting for a post in teh Sky News thread that runs along the lines of

Quote:
21/08/2007 16:17 - Sky News goes to ad break

Advets include
Direct Line car insurance
Debenhams Sale now on
Claims Direct
Ice Age Now out on DVD

21/08/2007 16:23 - Sky News returns

At that point I will remove all trace of ever being associated with this site!

Sorry if this has already been brought up, but is Talking Movies still on News 24? I went to tape it a few times and got extra time instead. Its shown rather irregularly on BBC 2, on one week, gone the next. anyone know whats going on?

There's been an article in the Daily Mail today about the fact that BBC newsreaders in the Middle-East aren't wearing ties. I mean, why waste a whole page article on that. Personally, I think thet the newsreaders dont need to wear ties - some of sky's reporters look rather messy in casuals, so why have the beeb been criticised?

Apparently all ties owned by BBC foreign correspondents were stolen by asylum-seekers before they left the UK.

Intertesting that the generic 'BBC NEWS' tower has been used, from what I can tell, all day.

When I left this morning the 'BBC NEWS 24' tower came off for Breakfast, Noel Thompson on his own at the time, and now appears following Fast Track and now Darren Jordon reading a summary to have stayed that way.

Any particular reason though?

I noticed that as well. It's back to 'BBC NEWS 24' now but it seems pointless changing it to 'BBC NEWS'.

They also faded the countdown down during the last few seconds. Why?

They often forget to put it back to NEWS 24 after the weekend simulcasts end.

To give BBC ONE a clean opt in.
