How was she on the newsreading side? Dont think I've ever seen her on the presenting chair before.

Sally was really good at doing the news. She started off reading the sports news for BBC North West Tonight, then moved to BBC News 24 sport and she's now progressed to reading the news. She's always been a really good presenter - even when on NWT.

It sounds so much more professional compared with the News 24 thing they have.
I also notice Ben Brown seems to be heading alot of the World and News 24 simularcasts from Lebanon. Peter Sissions making a amazing balls up of the hand over to World. "Now.. Umm.. Our re.. Correspondent Ben ... Brown is live. Ben" Cuts to Ben, mid sentence. Would be far better handled just having Ben take the TOTH live.
I've said this numerous times now, the World bed is leagues ahead of News 24. And there it is, one more time.

TOTH at 18:00 was simulcast from World so we heard the World headline bed - sounds much better on N24 that on World! And the generic titles were also taken from World but 2 audios of the titles were played - one just after the other - sounded terrible to be honest.

I agree - the World headline bed is the best headline bed that BBC News has had in years. I love the version where the music doen't kick in straight away - the presenter introduces the bulletin and then at the first headline, the full music kicks in and its very dramatic. I can't understand why News 24 hasn't changed its headline bed in more than 2 and a half years. It was OK when the 2003-2005 countdown was in use but they should have changed it when the new countdown came in in 2005 - it just sounded so dull and slow and when the newest countdown came in in May it made the headline bed sound really crap. Its high time the revamped it - even if they started using World's it would be a help!
