I've just seen the countdown with its ammended graphics and I have to say it makes a nice change from the standard countdown. There aren't that many references to the World Cup and I don't find it that overwhelming TBH.


Having now seen it for myself I agree completely. The way some have been going on in this thread, I was led to believe every shot of the countdown featured some kind of England flag. It's nowhere near as 'in your face' as I was expecting. I fail to see what the fuss is about.

Apart from when she went for a poo at 12.23 and returned to the bbc bogs to finish the job at 12.45.

Did she not go for her poo at 1224?

Anyway, perhaps they should add one or two clips to the countdown to represent the other home nations just to keep everyone happy. Healy's goal would suffice.

They did this the other day! Really stupid.

I'm glad Rooney's going but showing a live shot of a plane is pathetic. Apparently there's some Anthrax alert at Parliament. Only seen it on the Sky News site. Anyone heard more about that?

BBC News even interupted the buisness with it. Karin was not impressed trying to relay the ftse..

It seemed to be a story which wasn't dominating the news channels to be honest, seems like some nutters been a silly begger.
