I always thought this was the most bizarre bit of News 24's mini-revamp. Two presenters who've never worked together, who've got absolutely no chemistry together. She's got a very quiet style, almost sardonic, not really suited to 24-hour news and he's very inexperienced. It's a risky thing to put this pairing in a very exposed slot - particularly as their main competitor is struggling.

An Electronic Video Insert on the studio shot was used tonight rather than the "Translucent Screen" on coverage of The Pope's Visit to Poland.

(I think - if not they've really got the screen working exceptionally well tonight)

Anyone know when an electronic insert was last used.

AFAIK it was just the screen - certainly was when I looked

I don't know when it was last used at the main desk before but it looked quite good with the 3 of them at the desk and a pic of the Pope on the dodgy screen then the insert showing the feed from Poland

edit - can't spell Pope!

It's a shame that at least half of that is dedicated to fantasy presenter schedules and spectacularly dull rota discussions.
