it's brilliant, but they already had a more then decent countdown, they really need to sort out the vamps and titles now!

Blimey, there's some really sad people posting on that site Wink

I've always loved the BBC News music. When I was younger, I used to watch BBC News 24 every hour, just so I could catch the music

As if you'd get people like that on here!

Nice version although I've not seen it 'live' yet onscreen. For me, you still can't beat the original though.

The graphics people have been at it again.. Nick Higham's got a Da Vinci Code factfile today, with some rather nice gothic stone pillars and some flagstones on the studio floor. And a spot of stained glass windows into the newsroom Smile

yes a fantastic factfile. loved the monk at the end...

I am in the minority in thinking that Nick's factfiles are usually patronising and incredibly cheesy (not in a good way?) The use of graphics and the camera angle makes the set look even more cramped than usual.

Dragging up the 'Wrong Guy' story again, but the man is getting about even more. Some of you know that I'm in the TV / Video & Film industry myself, well my diary service have got hold of Guy Goma for a spoof sting they've just filmed...

If you know your stuff about TV, you'll be able to spot the deliberate mistake!

I much prefer the previous version! By the way, can anyone capture the video of the new countdown?

I was actually hoping to get it so that I can save it on my hard disc. Anybody?

Sound problems on DTT this afternoon - the second(?) showing of the DVC-FF was completely mute, as was most of the TOTH sequence before it.

I don't BELIEVE it! What has David Lowe done to the Countdown? I adored that stunning chord resolution (I hope a musician will be able to give us the technical term) about 20 seconds from the end and now it's gone! I just hope they haven't taken Clive Myrie away as well! Sad

I know we have to live in a changing world but the old version was only given a year! I agree with all those wondering whose in charge of quality control in presentation these days!

They haven't taken away the F sharp to E flat major chord progression; it's still there about where the pots and pans are banged
