Interesting tag-on to the end of a BBC Press statement about News 24 today:

Year to date average audience reach for BBC News 24 is five million against Sky's 4.4m, making BBC News 24 the UK's highest rating rolling news channel.

BBC News 24 has been ahead of Sky News for the past 20 weeks.

Completely boring observation here, but this morning at 8, the old Breakfast titles were shown with the old theme instead of the current titles.

I'd thought that they would have been deleted off the server, since they haven't been in use for over 2 years.

They were used at 6 and 7am too! Sounds a lot better than the updated theme of 2003-ish.

They always do over the weekends.
I also want to know is Breakfast Best Daytime Programme, as they updated the titles with best daytime programme 2005 (and a brilliant variation on the music with mroe dramatic drum beats on the frame 'EAK' and at the end) yet over the past week they've changed it back to the older titles and music which have been slightly edited to best morning programme 2005?

What are you taling about? They use the same titles and music as they do during the week, minus the 'awards' tag. Obviously there was a mistake this morning by using the older music.

When you say older music do you mean the original Breakfast music?
As for the best daytime programme music there is a distinct difference which I'd highlight if someone tells me how to convert VHS into Real Media or Windows Media Player.

I think it's always been like that, it's just more noticeable in some shots than others.

Don't know her name, but Maxine Mawhinney hasn't left - she was on last week.
