Does anybody know if we are to expect any cosmetic changes to News 24 from Tuesday to match the new BBC One News output?

Jane Hill now works on a Friday, so it would seem that Liz Pike has no particular slot, she hasn't been seen in recent weeks. Tim Willcox usually does the 22.30 on Friday night, Julian Worricker normally does the 14.00 onwards on a Friday. Maxine has joined the relief presenting pool of presenters for weekdays. Weekend 24 may even have gone altogether - Breakfast has continued until 10 for the last couple of weeks on a Saturday.
Tony Campion was excellent today. No Peter Sissons again this weekend by the looks of it, Maxine is on this afternoon.

It has gone altogether. Makes sense - if you were watching on BBC1 it would seem rather silly. Pretty much the same content, but with a different name and weather and sport at different times to confuse people.

I thought Maxine was good with Simon McCoy on Thursday/Friday. I still feel it's a shame she hasn't got her own slot on weekdays any more but I did think we might not see her except for Sundays, so I'm pleased at that.

I thought it was funny the other day when they did the bit on hugging on Breakfast the other day. When they showed the overhead view of N24 at just before 8.30 Simon and Maxine were sitting at the desk and Simon threw his arms out as if to give Maxine a hug. They cut away before we saw if she returned the gesture though!

Tim Willcox Peter Dobbie Julian Worricker Tony Campion Maxine Mawhinney Rachel Schofield Liz Pike Phillippa Thomas and the usual political correspondents. At least they now have a larger pool of presenters to use as relief when needed.
