One of you guys in gonna have to change your name. Hands up who wants to be News 25?

I seem to remember a certain Miss Gracie renaming the channel that once. Laughing

I thought that was Louise Minchin?

Well, seeing as I stole NEWS 24 for myself, I'll change to NEWS 25 just to humour you. It will definitely mean I stand out

At 14:13 we lost the news ticker and NEWS 24 as they froze during a report from Luisa Baldini about a nurse who had killed 2 of his patients. It has yet to reappear.

Just come back up at around 14:17. Does this happen often, I seem to remember someone else saying that it crashed before.

That's good news.

Very good just then with Huw. During a report on the top story the Breaking News strap came up about the Italian election. Within minutes Huw had the Italian ambassador sitting next to him in the studio and a very good interview followed. How did they get him so quick?

PA Embargoes - if there was a set time to release that story, then behind the scenes the BBC can prepare for it.

Ah, of course! Looked good though. I'm actually really liking the 5 O'Clock News now, but still think they'll need to draft in a 2nd presenter if major breaking news happens in the middle.

How about a poll -

After the simulcast of the BBC ONE bulletins on News 24 would you ...

1. Like them to continue
2. Continue but truncate after 15 mins (re Bird Flu in Scotland 10pm breakout)
3. Return to Rolling News

Anyone else agree and if so can a mod arrange a poll?
