In terms of presenters, we can expect Maxine to join Rachel as being a regular relief presenter, as well as her Sunday 13.00 - 17.00. Jon will doubtless be off on Fridays, it can be assumed that Kate will be missing more often than not on a Friday, as will Simon. So also plenty of work for the likes of Tim and Julian. On a Friday night, there will still be another presenter in for the 22.00 - 01.00 shift, whether this will be Chris Eakin, bearing in mind he now has less hours on air...or someone else, for example Tim, remains to be seen.

All in all, it's reasonably easy to see the way things will go

But will there be another presenter this Friday between 10.30 and 01.00. I know the 19.00 - 10.00 shift will be broken up by Geroge Alagiah presenting the News from the same studio at 19.30, and there obviously won't be any time for rehersals during the weekend bulletins on BBC 1, due to News 24 also broadcasting from the same area, unless they are going to simulcast BBC World, for a short time?

Why does Chris need a day off already?! I think Tim Willcox might be having a week off - i expect they probably just use whoever they can get hold of.

What the hell are you talking about? Presenters are allowed time off for other commitments, or to use up holiday time, or he might be ill, shock horror, you never know!

Morons, honestly!

A new Doily? What the heck has a cloned sheep got to do with News 24? Methinks you're pulling our legs, archiveTV!

BBC News won the race to break the news on the 'Old Trafford Fire'. It took at least 7 minutes later for Sky to break it, and at 12.58 before the weather, BBC News announced in a News Update that the Fire has been stopped by the firefighters, in the North East Stand.

Sky have still yet to announce it.

What's this? Nothing on BBC News Online about this, nor anywhere else on the net that I can find.

Is it serious? Hope so!
