So why not turn over to BBC One to watch it uncluttered?
Did Matthew and Carrie return at 1.30 until 2pm?

Some messy on screen graphics during the one with the bulletin being signed. Everything was squashed into the small screen in the left hand corner while the normal tower and ticker remained as normal. In essence there were two BBC News towers.

Yeah, it was with the signing, which is an invaluable service but there was a complete cock-up by the sounds.
Oh and yeah, Carrie ad Matthew did the 1.30-2.00 stop gap, almost News Hour-ish in its buisness and sport segments...

You say the signing is an invaluable service but i read on Media Guardian that most deaf people prefer subtitles. How long does the signing go on for - is it still 8.00 - 8.45 and 1.00 - 2.00? Seems too long to me.. just fulfilling the Ofcom requirements.
On another note, interesting to see who they've left out of the new promos. No Simon McCoy, Jane Hill, Matthew Amroliwala and Louise Minchin. Isometimes think that Jane and Matthew especially are taken for granted - they've been there since the beginning but it seems as if they're not valued very highly.

There are two 45 minute signed bulletins, both on N24. I have to say I've not seen the Media Guardian article and it'll make interesting reading if I can get a copy there is still a required and a duty for there to be signed bulletins carried.
I'd personally perfer them to moved as an interactive option but thats neither here nor there.

They did exactly the same as what they do for the top of the ten o'clock news hour, have the days top sports stories, saying that they will be comming up later in the hour.

What did News 24 do in the regional opt-outs at the top of the hour and 15 minutes past today on the One o'clock News?
On a different subject, Julian Worricker is having a busy day - he's now on Five Live until 7 tonight.

Do all the regions of regional news on the BBC have the same theme tune? If so, could someone post it to me in Windows friendly format.
Thanks

Not all, there are variations. Some have the 2002 theme, some have it with an extension, some have remixes of the original BBC London music. Have a look at the local news section of The TV Room.
