Perhaps Tim was having a quick break, he has been on since 7 and will continue through to 1am, he normaly gets a break of about 23 minutes after 10, but tonight they went back to News 24 within the first few minutes, hence the reasoning for showing BBC London, to give Tim a 10 minute break.

No the reason was the technical problems in N8 (the News 24 gallery/studio).

This is interesting:
Press Gazette posted:
Bakhurst said the recruitment of big names to the channel was ongoing and that Fiona Bruce, who has already done some presenting on the channel, would be working more regularly with News 24 on special projects. He added that Natasha Kaplinsky, Sian Williams and Sophie Raworth would all present on the channel, when their schedules allowed them to do so.

That's interesting. It sounds good that they are using more high profile presenters on their rolling news channel, similar to what ITV used to do. It would be great to see Fiona present now and again, especially if viewing ffigures are that high.

Still experiencing some by the looks. Generic titles and simple fades. Would I be right in thinking there's an issue with camera's?

Really? Is it the Sarah Montague one? I saw it earlier too (guest is remote?), and there were a few sound delay issues throughout the programme. But, I assume what you are referring to Joel is far worse than that??

Ohh yes, The unedited beginning which is clearly not designed for broadcast. Guest standing up and Sarah moaning about her mike to someone out of view and then some banter with the gallery and a good old moan about the jacket all the time the guest shouting stuff down and Sarah preparing. I think that bit of meant to be fastforwarded! Classic though James, Absolete classic. Followed shortly by the News 24 Breakdown slide for a few minutes then the proper opening.

Oh Lord! Well - things should be allowed to go wrong sometimes. It reassures us that we cannot rely entirely on technology!! I am just pleased that Sarah didn't say the F word to camera this time, like she did famously once on Breakfast!

That would have rounded off a difficult enough night for N24.

Terrible interview though, has to be said, awful questions.

Ohh and we're now skipping bits, clearly in an effort in make the 23.57 opt. Could be interesting.

So have you already seen the interview?

TV Forum - I give you Ms Emily Maitlis and Mr. Ben Brown.
