I wonder where all the regular presenters have gone:

Sian Williams and Mishal Hussein from Breakfast with Kate Silverton covering
No Kate therefore on usual shift
No Maxine Mawhinney
No Jon Sopel
No Louise Minchin
No Chris Eakin (though he did present from France)
Reporters drafted in to cover absences - not usuals like Liz Pike, Rachel Schoffield etc.

They are really fielding a team of reserves today; Jo Coburn, Janet Barrie, Rachel Schofield, Julian Worricker and of course Tim Willcox to come later on...

Pre-relaunch interview with Kevin Bakhurst in the Evening Standard, but I don't think it adds anything we don't already know.

Strange graphics on News 24 at the moment. No tower, no normal graphics. Confused

Seems to be back. Must have been a crash.

Thankfully N24 broke away from the Ten at 10.06pm, back to Jane and Tim after George said 'further coverage on BBC News 24'. They had hyped the whole thing up so much before 10pm, they shouldnt have bothered opting out at all.

Yes I agree, a story gathers pace on News 24 only to go into the slower paced 10 oclock news, then back to news 24 six minutes later. I guess this a sign of things to come. all in all rather messy

Ah for goodness sake, make up your mind N24! Back to the Ten now at 10.19pm. For the sake of 6 minutes. What is the point????

Entirely agreed. I'd like to see who decided this would be a good time to opt. Surely this should could as a breaking story and I'd presumed that in such circumstances there was no need for the opt. Lordy knows.

They shouldn't opt full stop. This is going to be messy and now three times a day.

This daily simulcast will probably be permanently ditched. It was never going to work.

What is going on now? No link from the Ten back to the News Hour? N24 are getting BBC London News with Joanna Gosling? Surely it doesnt take that long for Jane Hill to vacate the studio??
