I had noticed, although I initially thought it might just be that it hadn't been faded up properly, especially because the non-LIVE bug (where there is just a red box with the location bug below) has a translucent red box as well, whereas the LIVE bug is a solid red.
Incidentally, it only lines up with one type of split-screen (there are several), and in fact that change was made with the previous tweaks of the graphics. The full width and left-aligned splitscreens still don't line up properly with the LIVE/location bug.

No-one noticed the graphics change this morning?
The location strap is semi-transparent, and guess what?
It lines up with the split-screen (just about).
Maybe they read this forum?

News 24 in the outside, real world beat's Sky's virtual this and that and their warehouse of a newsroom anyday! Presenters leaving their desk to go around TVC is the way forward...
News 24 would have to go someway though to beat Sky's Derek Tedder who underwent surgery to try and cure his migrane problems.
Derek allowed the surgery to be filmed for a report he did.

She's boring, dull, monotone, same-y and puts no enthusiasm into her delivery... can someone please wake me up when she's finished?? I actually turn over when she's on... She should be made into a relief presenter and give her slots to Maxine in the re-shuffle.
Contrast with other female presenters such as Jane Hill and there's no question who is better...

Was nice to see Maxine though, a swansong indeed before moving to News 24 weekends! Although if her only regular shift is Sunday 13.00-17.00, perhaps she will be free to cover Saturdays on BBC ONE (or even do the One or Breakfast again).
Why doesn't she replace, say Peter Sissons who can't be far off retirement now (Can he?)?

Anna did the 10.58 summary, so she must have been taken ill.
Matthew did the 12.13 (as he usually does), although Maxine had done several Tuesday/Thursday summaries.
I agree, strange that Matthew didn't do the One since he is more regular on BBC ONE at weekends, or even Maxine replacing Kate early on News 24 to do the One since she is a more familiar face from Breakfast etc, or George or Natasha since they are on the Six.

Also, surprisingly in the East Midlands region, there was a recorded announcement before the One, surprising since she hasn't done the One, Six or Ten before, only occasional weekends when there are no regional headline opts.
Well i would of thought Natasha would of done it. Remember the last time Anna was ill midway through a bulletin and Sophie came in without any make-up? Well perhaps this was the problem.. Natasha refused to come on without any.
Then if George or Natasha couldn't do it, i would of thought it would of been Simon, Kate or Matthew all ahead of Maxine - as all three of those are more familiar to BBC1. Jon Sopel even could of done it - and that wouldn't disrupt the News 24 schedule. So basically Maxine is the last person i would of expected!
Well Maxine was there at the beginning of the programme, at least it wasn't so unexpected that she had to run in halfway through. It's already been mentioned that Carrie's doing the first Friday edition of the Five O'Clock Hour, I think that would be a good job for Maxine, since she's only going to be presenting on Sundays and is a high profile face on News 24.
Aah...but Carrie Grace is increasingly becoming a major face on News 24. Admittedly, she's been there for years but now she's doing Weekend 24, News 24 Mornings, HardTalk etc&
Something in my water tells me that Carrie Gracie is going to become more and more prominent.
But look - Jane Hill was once the golden girl of News 24. Now, it's increasingly looking that it is Kate Silverton.
How times change. God I remember when Brenda Patterson used to read the news on the channel. God, she was boring!
Well Carrie used to be much more prominent - she used to do weekday evenings.
Yeah, though, overshadowed by Gavin Esler!
Maxine Croxall is the one who does my head in though. Seriously.

No the changes begin on Monday 10th April. The changes really are quite minor, they are not getting a new set, just a presenter reshuffle, like the one that took place last year, its hardly a new era.

Only read this thread occassionally rather than regularly - do the changes come into force on Monday?
If so, could we take the opportunity to close this thread and begin a new one as News 24 moves into a new era?

That won't happen on the 10th - there is a lot of work to do. You may notice changes as that happens.
