Is this solely a schedule change..or will we see new titles, graphics etc?

I'd expect that Huw Edward's new show will have specialist titles.
I think that the only name for the bulletin could be the Five O' Clock News as Tonight with Huw Edwards has all ready been mentioned (it's not tonight and also it is too similar to N24 Tonight) and anything like the Huw Edwards show makes it sound like a radio programme.
On the subject can someone explain what the difference between this bulletin and a regular N24 bulletin other than Huw Edwards presenting?

I'd not seen this before, but it looks like the title of Huw's show has been confirmed...

The Five O'Clock News with Huw Edwards will benefit from greater production effort and big name interviews, but breaking news will take priority.

Maxine Mawhinney has finally reappeared! Slightly amusing when both her and Matthew read the same line from the autocue this afternoon.

Appaling scenes in Paris this afternoon, it seems to be slowly descending into a riot down in the square. Jon Sopel and cameraman were also attacked by the mob and have been forced to retreat to a balcony. Louise was obviously worried in the studio for Jon's safety, and rightly so - another example of how dangerous the job can be. Hopefully things will calm down and the people who are working to bring us the news, reporters, camera operators, photographers etc will all leave unscathed.

Edit: It appears that World have also been taking Jon's feed from Paris, as there was a definate pause for an opt out just before the TOTH

Excellent coverage from Paris from N24. Jon Sopel being a former Paris correspondent really helps!

I've made the point before, and I'll make it again - Julian Worricker is also an excellent relief presenter, very good at the job, clearly spoken, and handles breaking news extremely well; he does a good job.

Agreed. If only he'd get rid of his purple suit! Fine for Five Live, no good on TV!

Agreed excellent coverage, one question, will we see this level of coverage when the new schedule starts, with Huw's hour and the six? I hope so, News 24 has been realy strong lately

Great coverage, but how come Jon's already there? Presumably the BBC had no knowledge of a riot so why was he already there? Very convinent that he is though.

Protests were planned for today, and perhaps after the recent climate, they expected riots.

Particually his shouting (en francais) "I'M A JOURNALIST. BBC. BBC. LET ME IN!"

Jon is an excellent presenter and journalist and excellent coverage of the "riot" in Paris this evening. Emma Jane Curby also providing some excellent commentory, when CS wasn't in her throat...

The protests have been planned for several days and there is widely expected to be violence, given recent events, so presumable the Beeb would have picked up on this to answer one posters question.

I do love the co-ordination with the photo desk and the new look, I mean we've only had it 3 years now...
