Chris is good in my opinion, what those who don't like him have a problem with I can't understand.

Tim 'the hair' Wilcox on the other hand is awful!

It's interesting to see the different opinions on the presenters, and how some people find certain presenters to be terrible, while the same presenters may be loved by others. I must say I personally disagree with your dislike of Tim Willcox and Alastair Yates, but I respect your opinions of course.

One thing that I'm sure we can all agree on however is that Liz Pike is abysmal.

You should be burnt alive for saying that!

That would be preferable to having to watch the wimpy snivelling snitch (you can just imagine him in school with his hand up - "Sir! Sir! It was Williams, sir!")

I think I prefer Chris Eakin out of the studio and would give him the role that Simon was originally supposed to have - that of presenting from breaking stories and filling in around the schedule...especially seeing as Jon's getting out less and less now (due to his other commitments - even though he's also appearing in the studio less and less too!)

RE World News - I thought it was a good part of the schedule until they decided to chop it down to just once a week, which I have never understood why they did...(Why show it on a Sunday when they dont bother showing it during the week?) Personally, I think they should have added an extra World News bulletin rather than taken it a way...

Its a shame that it was Huw Edwards that got the BBC News 24 role, I would have preferred Fiona.

I don't know why Huw always goes 'er' or 'erm' when he's only reading from an autocue.

Well presumably Fiona will be doing Fridays unless they get Huw to come in to do the News 24 hour and then Fiona does the Ten?

I thought Huw would bring authority to the flagship bulletin. So Fiona would be doing the ten and Huw the Ten Oclock News Hour for the next half?

I understood that Huw would be doing 5-6 and 10-10.30 Mon-Thu and Fiona on Friday and when Huw is off (same as now).

Are we sure that Fiona will be presenting on News 24, as this was not mentioned in the press release. Could we see another presenter present this slot? Does Fiona's contract allow this and does it expire the same time as Huw's?

That's a point actually. I wonder if Huw will present the News 24 programme on Fridays as well. Also, when he's on holiday, will Fiona cover him on N24 as well.

Wonder what Huw's programme will be called? Live at Five? Five o'clock Huws? Live with Huw? Huw at Five?

As we already have "News 24 Tonight" I bet it will be called "News 24 at Five".

Speaking of News 24 Tonight, will it be continued after the launch of Huw's programme? Because then we'd have

Arrow 1700 Huw's programme
Arrow 1800 Six O'Clock News
Arrow 1900 News 24 Tonight

Seems a bit too much of special programmes to me.
