Ben Brown has been presenting a fair few shifts recently, usually paired up with someone, but has also been presenting solo on BBC World too. He's getting much better, he certainly needs practice to get used to studio based work. This morning he's in for Tim, who I think will appear at 13.00 and continue until 19.00, same as yesterday.
TOTH are still the same, except with the new addition of 'RTS News Chanel of the Year' below the BBC News logo at the bottom. It took them a week to sort out, but now they have the TOG version of the titles sorted, with spinning headline text around the globe, rather than the BBC News logo

Chris Eakin presenting live from Belgrade at 12.00pm.
At the 11am TOTH there was a bit of a freeze at the end of the countdown, and then no pictures for the headlines, but I presume this was because the Hague press conference was about to start and that the gallery were concentrating on this.
Ben Brown was presenting and apart from a few 'Umm's - which you'd expect as he was probably being told what to do in his ear - he handled it very well and seemed quite unphased.
As for Chris Easkin in Belgrade, he has been sent out on location to do this sort of thing quite a bit before, but I can't remember him being sent overseas. I wonder if this will continue when he gets moved to 10.30-12.30?
The new lighter weight font has really grown on me now, and I like it. It's very sharp, and far easier to read on a distant TV screen. Even the Tower looks OK now to me - it's just a question of familiarity.
