Anyone know when Tim Willcox joined Carrie? And when Jo Coburn replaced Carrie?
PS I never seem to see Peter Sissons anymore, he hasnt left has he?

Something thats annoying me at the mo - why is this still Breaking News? Surely something that was confirmed nearly 5 hours ago cant be classed as breaking news?

I believe Tim joined Carrie at 1200, and that Jo took over from Carrie at 1300. And at 1600, Jo flew away, and was replaced by Joanna Gosling.

Carrie was still on at 13.45 so Jo must have come in at 14.00. I am suprised she only did two hours though, perhaps she will reappear somewhere else today.

They did use the normal BBC NEWS tower during Breakfast, but then put the hideous new BBC NEWS 24 tower on again, please put the old TOG back!

Sorry, I don't notice any difference! I must be missing something. I can't remember exactly what the old one looked like anyway. If anyone has a cap of the old one and the new one, I'd love to see them side-by-side, to see what all the fuss is about!

Thanks.

The difference is they have made the BBC News 24 bit a bit bigger therefore looking out of proportion!

N5 doesn't exists. N6 is the studio they use for the news on BBC1 and some other shows.

TOG is Tower Oriented Graphics, or it might be Tower Originated Gfx, or TOG Orientaged/Originated Gfx.

Depends who you ask really.

She certainly looks great with her makeover. I was plesantly surprised at seeing her. I will be watching this show - both presenters are great.

Sian is a great ambassador for women on the TV. I hope that she whips Natasha in any race for the 6 co-anchor. Perhaps we'll get steak if she presents a 'Nationwide' style show - and not mince if Miss Kaplinsky gets that gig!

That fireman lying in bed has made me go weak at the knees : ) I would like him to cool me down Laughing

N5 did exist, but not any more.

N5 was the studio where the BBC World Service Television's Arabic service came from. When it closed, it became a store room, then a computer room for News Online, then reopened as as studio again for News Interacitve. N5 was where Talking Point (now called Have Your Say) came from. It also did daily chat forums, and other bits n pieces.

N5 closed about a year ago as part of budget cuts. Have Your Say now comes from N6.

Didn't quite get the bizarre analogy there but I do agree, Sian is undervalued seemingly.

What's a tower got to do with an on-screen graphic?

The comparison was between Sian being steak...as in quality - and Natasha being mince...as in crap.

She did her usual 5 hours on the air and came off at 9 to leave Chris on his own.
