Well there's a surprise! Rolling Eyes Honesty, we could all see that coming a mile off. I suppose it makes sense, but it'll make me switch off from 6 until 6.30 as I hate the Six (or 7 as nothing's specified for 6.30 to 7 - any insiders know what's going on then?).

One flicker of hope - it says " currently Natasha Kaplinsky", or is this because contracts haven't been signed yet? If she goes, I'll be happier.

Another thing that I find disappointing, the start time of 8.30 rather than 8am. I leave for work at 8.30 - damn!

EDIT: Just noticed that Matthew & Jane are doing 13.30 - 14.00! Eh? What's the point of them hanging around for 30 minutes just to do another half an hour?

Now... any news on updated graphics & pres? NickyS...?

Looks like there's going to be half an hour of dead air from 1830 to 1900 every day. An unusual scheduling tactic - but it could be a world first in news channels.

Not only Breaking News, but what about live speeches, press conferences etc? If they shift everything onto the red button, PM's questions etxc, it'll be a mistake. I personally enjoy the amount of time they dedicate to showing press conferences and live stuff - makes a change from seeing soundbytes and people's words edited in reports packages.

Also, is this a Monday - Friday schedule? I suspect not, Fridays usually have a differenct look to them

Maxine seems to be in the bin for the short term; Peter Dobbie is going to BBC World (very unfortunate for us UK viewers)

Maxine is going back to Weekends. Peter's will be filling in on the channel until October when his contract runs out. I understand he was sent a text message to say it wouldn't be renewed.

You'd think after all this time, the BBC would know how to spell Amroliwala!

You seem to be entirely incapable of gleaning any knowledge from these boards; archiveTV works for BBC in the World bit.

So Nicky, did you mean keep our eyes peeled for the changes in schedule, or will there be some graphical changes too? Surely you can tell us this - most of the secret's out now. Please!

Good to see that they are at least attempting to keep up with Sky, although I am sure that we all agree to there being some misfits in the BBC's new line up.

If what is said above about Peter Dobbie is correct, I am saddened that he will be leaving BBC World. He is great.

Another thing, I would honestly have thought that Mr. Dermot Murnaghan would have been a better choice as 5pm anchor, up against JT on Sky. Although, I am sure that Dermot will deputise in Edwards' absence.

Also, still not sure about Ben Brown......better off out on the road, IMO.

Good luck BBC!
