Somebody's forgotten to change the ower this morning, it is still reading 'BBC News' rather than 'BBC News 24'.

Interesting that they still do the BBC World news bulletin at 09:35 on a Sunday morning, even though it was dropped from weekday schedules.

Interesting I thought they did drop the sunday World bulletin, does anyone think however that the BBC World bit could just be handled by News 24 without having to go to the World Newsroom?

Personally I still think TWT style bulletins should be broadcast for three hours on BBC News 24, with BBC One showing Breakfast, I have never really understood the purpose of simulcasting Breakfast on BBC One and BBC News 24, surely providing viewers with a domestic view and a global view would be more beneficial and provide more choice for the viewer at home.

If you think this, then email the BBC and let them know. Peter Horrocks or Helen Boaden would be good people to contact. You never know Wink

I agree with this as it really does make no sense of putting Breakfast on both channels when people who have access to N24 also have access to BBC One anyway. If anything should be simulcast at this time of day it should be N24 and World giving an international perspective of the news whilst Breakfast provides analysis on the domestic news stories.

Following on from Tim this morning, Tony Campion is presenting the 13.00 - 17.00 slot today, the first time he's presented on the channel single handed.

The idea may tie in with the supposed new 8am start time - just broadacst The World Today format, from 5-8am, as it does on World, then News 24 take over at 8am

Tony presented the 2nd half of the 10 news hour a couple of weeks ago on his own.

I was quite impressed by Tony Campion and I like his style of newsreading. He has presented News 24 Tonight in the past with Jane Hill and again he was of very high standard. Does anybody else agree that he should be implemented as a permanent presenter in News 24?

What kind of chair was Jane sitting on tonight. I know it's pathetic, but it did look very strange.

My apologies, I could have sworn that I was posting in the BBC News thread

Are we talking about BBC News 24? If it was BBC News the regular one, I'd presume.
