I've only just turned on to this. Did N24 show the World breakfiller??
EDIT: must be a major problem, 1131hrs and we're still with World - showing News Extra. Is this a scheduled programme or just a one-off to provide rolling news on N24?

Kate has gone, it seems - Julian has swopped sides and from the aerial shot appears to be alone at the desk. I wonder if it is an internal comms (presenter-gallery) sound issue or a more major broadcast sound issue. There are no visible or audable problems at least. Let's see what they decide to do at the TOTH at midday.

Kate's gone AWOL! I wonder if Darren is scheduled to be on the One today? Could Kate have jumped across to N6 to front 1200-1300hrs with Darren?
Only a thought. Probably won't happen!
Cosmetically everything looks OK. Graphics up and running, studio guests, live OB's etc.
It would be interesting to see how they handle a Breaking News story at the moment. You know, something like the Education Secretary Ruth Kelly being hit by an egg.

Are you suggesting that we ought to be hanging around outside DfES with our cameraphones to see you there with a dozen eggs?
Kate's on now, in N6. Someone seemed to clear their throat a few seconds before the bulletin started..
[edit] these graphics are a bit iffy - I think the tower and ticker are coming from N8, but the straps are from N6. No two-line slugs, no animation, and they look like they're at a slower-than-usual frame rate. Although maybe this is just the new style for N6?

Lol! I aint joking! Sky finished the last hour with it! Single-line breaking news banner that read 'EDUCATION SECRETARY HIT BY EGG'! Don't worry, I'm in Belfast so I would need to have a pretty good throw!
Astons not animating. Looks strangely familiar to an ongoing discussion in another thread!

This 12 o'clock hour shows, if nothing else the lesser quality of N6's graphics (no animations, slower scrolling speed of aston text).
But they have made a considerabe effort to make them fit with News 24's output - why not use them for the 10 simulcast (maybe with a few modifications)
I would imagine they will use this hour to try and fix the fault, and get to Matthew & Maxine back at 13.00, otherwise it could end up being a '1' simulcast...

There have been some occasions where the World/N24 overnight service has come from N6.
Meanwhile, on BBC One: "Well, we're unable to bring you the news headlines at this time of day, but there will be a full update at 1 o'clock, here on BBC One"

Has N24 ever broadcast live from N6 before? (except for BBC1 simulcasts etc?)

N24 headline bed on now, but no headline astons.
Oh thats intresting N24 are using N6 graphics as we know, they have the story aston up not animating, but with scrolling text.
