I could guarentee that if Moira was back on BBC One, maybe on the Six, or even a N24 shift, the ratings would most certainly be boosted. Surely the BBC cannot be oblivious to this fact?
Umm yes. Sure. All hail Moira, the saviour of TV news.
People don't tune in because of who's presenting. They tune in to watch the news.

Well I'd switch over from ITV News just to see Moira
Seemed awful dark from what I've just seen, might have sorted it now though...
I noticed the pod area they dont use anymore is all in darkness. The set does look normal, the newsroom doesnt though, unless thats just because its like that Im not sure.
EDIT: The screen couldnt be seen very well either, so something lighting wise in the studio has happened
Things are back to normal now. Earlier, the newsroom behind the desk was much darker than usual, as was the right hand screen area. It actually looked quite nice. It was very noticeable on the 2-shot of the presenters, as the ceiling behind them was very dark.
I thought that this afternoon when I watched the headlines at 15.30 with Matthew and Maxhine. It was considerably darker though did look quite effective.

Umm did look effective although I did wonder if this was a joke too far about the Government energy policy.
They've started doing business summaries in the evening. Today, Karin did business during the day, and Julia Caesar is doing business news every hour this evening. Tim (yes, he's on again) has said it's a new feature for evenings, so looks to be a permenant fixture. Adds a bit of value to evening news on the channel, but it will double the business presenter costs over the week, not exactly in line with the slimmer BBC policies at the moment, especially after Business Today was axed last year in favour of repeating World Business Report.
