I suggest we start an official programming changes thread and campaign for the removal of snoddy from our screens.

Now using the BREAKING red ticker to continuously scroll news of Ariel Sharon being rushed to hospital.

(EDIT 20:40 - now the BREAKING bit has gone dark steel/grey instead of the usual powder blue!?)

and doesn't it look so much better than the baby blue contraption, why they changed it is above me.

Anyway am I right in thinking that N24 carried a simulcast with World before (Big Yates presenting?)

Nothing like a good witch hunt...

But yes your right, the guy shouldn't be allowed near a TV Camera. Him and Jake Lynch. Shudder.

Midnight GMT - Justin Webb in Washington, Nik Gowing in London (BBC World studio) - presumably being simulcast on World and N24.

Why is News24/(presumably) World coming from the Washington studio? I know Israel and America have a lot in common but the presenter is actually further away from Israel (and distance does mean everything !)

This is standard for the 11pm and Midnight UK hours on BBC World. One presenter, usually Katty Kay but at the moment Justin Webb is holding the fort, presents from Washington, and one, in this case Nik Gowing, presents from London.

At one time, it was the good old double act of Mishal Husain and Adrian Finighan in Washington and London respectively. We aren't going to have them like that any more.

It's because these programmes are carried by PBS and BBC America in the states and CBC Newsworld in canada.
