Who is that on with Chris Eakin this evening? As usual when I turned in at the top of the hour to see they didnt put up the name straps. It sounded like Victoria Derbyshire of Five Live....perhaps someone can enlighten me!

I was going to ask that myself, but thought it wasn't worth it - though I agree, that's the thing I'd most like to know so I can then watch and see if I can spot the difference!
Problem is, no-one usually knows. Nicky spoke of a minor change and that sort of thing - unlike a relaunch - will be introduced when it's ready, and these things slip. What I'm trying to say is that maybe even the people at News 24 don't know when the minor change is coming.

I'm more interested in the approx timeframe myself, it nothing else it'll stop the more annoying part of the TVF guessing game.

I think it's more of a set of programming changes rather than anything physical. Nothing huge, but changes. There'll be a bit of an editorial shift too. No definite times yet, and it probably won't be a "big bang" - they'll probably be brought in one by one.
By the way, News 24 beat sky in the ratings over 2005 in reach and share - first time that's happened on both counts together.

Presumably hopes are now high for 2006 as well following Sky News' relaunch... or have their figures recovered now?
News 24 still comfortably ahead - especially over the Christmas/new year period. And that's including the Breakfast simulcast, when the people selecting News 24 on Freeview and cable aren't measured.
