Lynch is on News 24 (or so I appear to beleive...) BBC One suddenly takes on a whole new interest. The man is a walking bore.

I would just love to look Quil up.............................ahem.

Have to say, I was saddened to wake up on Christmas morning, switch on BBC World (simulcasting with N24), and find Jake Lynch at the news desk..................

So the line-up as far as I could make out on Christmas Day was:

00:00 - 05:00 Jake Lynch
06:00 - 09:00 Breakfast (Bill Turnbull)
09:00 - 13:00 Chris Eakin
13:00 - 16:00 Alistair Yates
16:00 - 19:00 Chris Lowe
19:00 - ? Jake Lynch

Long working day for Mr Yates then because he also presented the 1900-0100 shift on BBC World yesterday.

And for Boxing Day:

09:00 - 13:00 Kate Silverton
13:00 - 16:00 Maxine Mawhinney
16:00 - 19:00 Tim Willcox
19:00 - ? Peter Dobbie

Humph at Jane Hill not turning up this Xmas Day.

Lol, Jane is Like Bill on Christmas day. She's normally always on. Still i guess she's done her fair share of xmas days at work.

Hey you guys give Lynch a break - he has a real twinkle! And as I'm new to the site i'm wondering - is a little ol' Connecticut gal allowed to ask whether he's married?
~And does anyone out there know? (I'm guessing not, as he seemed to spend the whole of Christmas working!)

Yes, two in fact.

David Robertson from Reporting Scotland is on News 24, presumably on the 4pm to 7pm shift.

And two cameramen to cover snow in Maidstone. Jeez.
