b****r I missed it. The man knows no bounds; whatever time of the day or night he's on. He must be shattered as he was on in his usual Sunday morning slot from 0900 - 1300.

By far the best cover presenter they have. His presenting style is excellent - and his hair speaks for itself.

I totally agree. I think its worth saying that he is probably THE best presenter on News 24 at the moment. His style is excellent. It is almost stereotypical text book newsreader to the extent of send-up, yet he manages to pull it off seriously!

But don't his shirt collars need replaced or better ironed? He always looks a bit scruffy to me, but then again, that doesn't matter one bit. We are talking about BBC News here, not Mr. Universe 1998. Wink

Is Peter Sissons still on then?

yes he is still on. probably had the weekend off to recover from that really chesty cough he's had for the past 2-3 weeks. You could here him spluttering in the background during interviews.

Chesty cough he's had for the last 23 years, more like. I think Peter suffers from Asthma too, if I am not mistaken. I like the guy a lot actually - he is excellent on solo bulletins of a fixed format.

With a bit of luck he'll be on again tonight. Completely agree about the way he does such a good job in an almost stereotypical newsreader manner. Loving the "...with me, Tim Willcox" which is a permenant fixture in his presenting slots.

It looks like there's a newsroom stint coming up with Louise talking to the correspondents in the newsroom behind the desk...plenty of action and script waving behind the frosted glass

Not seen one of these for a while...

Cant Wait... I was saying to someone the otherday how good the N24 set would look without the perspects, just some sort of clear perspects, or none atall and just a railing , make it much more "We are BBC News, and we present our fantastic news channel from the newsroom where we can get news faster to you than Sky or ITV.

Of course your argument is ruined by the fact that you've invented a word. Anyone else know what "perspects" are?

He made a spelling mistake obviously. He was meaning Perspex. (transperant acrylic substitute for glass!)

Actually I like Joanna and Gwenan. They both look stunning and are quietly professional. Did you see the handover to John Hammond on Friday night? Chris and Gwenan were talking about a house covered in yogurt (yes, yogurt) John had a glint in his eye, started laughing and couldn't speak for about 10 seconds. Worth seeing Laughing
