Yeah I thought Richard Lister did a great job this morning, it would be good to see more of him in the chair.

Followed up by 'The Robotic' Jake Lynch it made him look even better.

Shame Big Al didn't put in another appearance

What is Richard Lister's current title with the BBC - Correspondent?

Also, does anyone have any captures of him presenting N24 today?

I beleive his current title is News Correspondent.
A very board title.

I thought he conducted himself extremly well this morning, although it take me a while to twigg who he was!

Jake Lynch is sponsored by the Forestry Commission. I have just seen him doing a spot from the "Intercative Newsroom", during Tim and Joanna's slot. What a load of old rubbish he is...............sorry Jake!

(Matrix - did you get your cheque yet mate? I posted it several days ago.......)

Nope. Anyway, if you've got a decent STB, it should let you clear the interactive bugs.

Good to see they've solved the problem of the LIVE/location strap cutting off people's heads in this shot. Just a shame there are gaps between the pictures and the TOG, but far better than before.

Just looking at this again on a smaller TV and while it's better that the left hand picture has less height so that it isn't obscured by the LIVE DOG, there's no need for the right hand picture to be so small. It'd be better if the top of this picture lined up with the top of the LIVE DOG. There's too much empty screen as it is.

Not sure I'd agree with you on that one. I think it'd make it look a bit messy if the two pictures weren't the same height or aligned at the top. They'd be better to go back to the original format for the location strap, to the right of the Live bug, then they could increase the height of both pictures. It would also mean they wouldn't have trouble sqeezing moderately long place names like WESTMINSTER in.

Problem with that is the location strap would extend over the right hand picture and some (admittedly thick) people may think that the 'LIVE/location' refers to both the right hand and left hand pictures. However I agree this would look better!

They've also been sprucing the studio up overnights over the last week - dual World and News 24 bulletins have been coming from the World studio.

The rear projection screens have been improved, and are much brighter now (almost too bright). Some red strips have been removed between the screen and the headlines summary pod, and the newsroom red and white seems to have been touched up above the desk. The desk top has either been replaced or cleaned, as it is brighter and more reflective now.
