Sanderson or Silverton? I thought we were talking about Kate Silverton (BBC) and not Kate Sanderson (Sky). Which one of them is now a Gerbil?

Philip Hayton's name finally removed from BBC News 24 presenter index. Will they get someone new in to fill the gap left by his departure?

Interestingly they updated his profile after he left. There is still a link to it on the "About BBC News"-website.

Worth pointing out that today was the first day for a very long time that all presenters were all in their designated shifts - no replacements. Even Maxine Mawhinney was in!

Compared to the clean and tidy presentation area on BBC World, N24 looks too small, cluttered, congested and generally untidy. Can't they get rid of those huge screens and bring in some sensibly sized plasmas? The images on those screens always look too dark anyway.

I find the BBC World studio to be cramped and nasty looking. It's as if one fo the English regions has just been given a bonus and they've spent it on a new studio for the sake of it. The desk looks daft with the glass top (which I believe was because they couldn't afford a laptop) and the podium it sits on makes it seem as if the presenter's chair would fall off if they mvoes the slightest inch.

Well on News 24, you can tell World just added some glass walls, which don't span all the way, with News 24 it looks like a complete studio not an add on if you know what I mean, it's ok on World as it's the area you don't see anyway, so they get away with it, and the World secondary set is just so dark, like the studio lights don't seem to go all the way.

The only thing going for World's set is the plasma, it gives out a sharper picture, the projectors on News 24 are not as good.

The old world studio looked much bigger than the current one following the revamp. Dont know if anyone else noticed but the lighting is much more realistic and less "washed out" than then studio lighting on N24?

Has anyone noticed the absence of Chris Lowe for the last few weeks? He's been gone for 3 weeks now.

Last two weeks Julian Worricker has done Friday and Tim Willcox has done Saturday and Sunday with Joanna Gosling.
